is a trail blazer400 faster than a v force

I have a friend that has a 400 Trailbazer 2WD. We ride together alot. He will (trailbazer) outrun my friend that rides a 650 Rincon but my Vforce crushed him at any speed. All I had in the Vforce at the time was a Yoshi Pipe.
Now, we raced again with my P700(EPI KIT ONLY) and I CRUSHED him out of the hole until we slowed down around 60. We again tried while we were both doing about 45. He jumped out in front and stayed a quad length ahead of me. I could not run him down. We shut them down at 65 or so.
With the changes Ive done now to my P700, he will not stand a snowball's chance in hell unless he does some SERIOUS ENGINE overhauling. Not simple mods but boring, cams and carbs.
Now, I rode his 400. Its no slug. I'm sure with the right motor changes...it will take a modded prairie to beat it.

yeah a v force will beat a (stock) 400,but a modded 400 wil beat up on a v force and alot more high performance atv's the 400's can be made to fly. They had a shootout of these two in an issue of atv action a few months ago and the v force beat it.

Since I do own both and have done all the mods to the Scrambler (now known as the Trailblazer), I think I'm qualified to answer this. When my scrammy was stock, there was no way it would outrun my V stock for stock. Once I put in a Pipe, Intake mod, main jet and spring with some stall, (btw, all this is shown on Rick Ritters website as the RCR stage 1 performance kit) and got it dialed in that was a different story, they were about even after the mods. Since I chose to put on a mid range pipe instead of a top end pipe, the V ran out of steam just a few mph before the scrambler did.
After about 6 months went by, I actually rebuilt the motor with the trail ported cylinder, shaved head, bored carb and bigger Wiesco piston (all provided by RCR), it is no contest. My scrammy kicks my V's *** in a straight line. On asphalt, the scrammy just steady walks away from the V from the bottom til they both top out. Keep in mind, my scrambler is 4 wheel drive also.
HOWEVER, when we go to Rausch Creek in PA and ride the intermediate ATV track with my buddy on my scrammy and me on my V, all that power doesn't mean ****. I wipe up the track with him all day long and the only thing done to the V is an AAEN green primary spring.
To give you another comparison for my scrambler, I have run several stock banshees and have them by a full 2-3 bike lengths up through about 60mph. Once they hit 6th gear, they reel the scrammy back in and go by. For a polaris, it does get some serious respect around here. I think if I had chosen to build it for top end performance, the banshees probably wouldn't even be able to reel it in at all, but let's be honest, how often are you going over 60mph in the woods?
I hope this helps answer your question...
