Default Ultimate Rack

Does anyone have any experience with the ultimate rack? atvracks.com

I just ordered one and it gets here on March 9. I really like the concept! I will post and let you all know how it goes.

Well, I got the rack today. The hardest part about putting it together and installing it was taking the crate apart that it came in! Easy to install and get set up. They say it can be put in the truck by one person...yes, it can...a big strong person. Two people is easy and if you get some flat dolly's (with four wheels) it would be pretty easy for one person.

I loaded up the quads. Boy, that first trip up the ramps was a little scary but it really isn't that bad. I did have the back of the truck lower since I was parked at the bottom of my driveway.

If you don't want to carry your quads on a trailer and you have a full size pickup then this is the way to go. I can't wait to get it out and use it!

Boy was I disappointed. Sounded like something to get for my wife. Definitely not what I was expecting.

That is a nice system. Too bad that they do not have one for the stepside's. If they did I would order one of those instead of buying a 4 place trailer.AKBoy.

I've had the Ultimate Racks for a couple of months now and they are working great. They say they will fit any two current production quads. Boy,... I might have one inch between my Rincons tires when mounted up there!! Won't be able to switch out to any aftermarket tires. You do get more comfortable driving them up/down the ramps after a few times, but that first time, whoa! You have to take the ramps off if you plan on installing it by yourself (ramps alone add 100lbs.) The trick is to try and load/unload the racks against a wall where you will store it so you don't have to drag it around, but I did use the flat dollies like you did Bigwannabe.

I made two dollies that fit the rack just right. All I do is take the ramps off and slide it out. Then tilt it so the back sits on the dolly. Then the back rolls while I lift the front down on to the other dolly. Roll it in the garage and put the ramps back on. To install I just reverse it. Works like a charm!

We are taking our first trip (besides around the block a few times) tomorrow. I can't wait.
