Default King Quad Possible damage???

Hi. I know this is going to sound stupid but i just plain forgot to take my king quad back out of 4wd low after crossing some mud. I ran it for about an hour maybe less like that at speeds of around 30 maybe 40mph max before realizing it was still in 4 low. The oil temp light never came on or anything i just wonder if this could have damaged something. Now im all paranoid that its not going to perform as well anymore. Any opinions? Thanks...

Low range for an hour and you didn't realize it ???!!! 40 mph in low??!!

No you prolly didn't do anything but run the rpms up. If the temp lite never came on then you really didn't stress er that much.

BTW, welcome to the forum.

No problem. Many machines don't even have the option of taking them out of 4wd at all. All you had was a quad that was a bit harder to steer for that hour. Have fun.

By the way, 'low' on a king quad is direct drive. It isn't a lot lower geared than the 'high' position and is smarter to run in than 'high' unless you want the highest range for running at speed on a road. The king quad has the 'super low' range for the real stump pulling anyway.
