Default 300ex vs atc 250sx

Anyone ever drag raced a 300 vs a 250 sx? I've owned a 300 before and I've rode with a 250 sx but not while I had the 300. I would think that this would be a decent race stock for stock. Anyone ever witnessed this?

That old 250sx will not keep up. It may be more fun though!

I raced my friends 04 300ex with my big red and he barely beat me in acceleration but overall top end was no comparison, i'll definantely be able to beat him in acceleration the next time we ride cuz i'm gettin rid of my 25' balloon tires and puttin some low profile 20' turf tamers on it .

Any eye witnesses?

I rode beside a sx with a dirtbike and we were running about 60. I was pretty impressed with the 250's top speed.

Also I raced a 300ex with my 200x once. My x actually had a 200s bottom end at the time. I did have the x piped. I beat the 300. We stayed close till about 5th gear and then I walked the 300. We then swapped machines and I beat the x with the 300. The other rider weighed about 50lbs more though.

I think I'll post another thread on atc vs. quads

Lol, no there weren't any eye witnesses but there will be next time when i have my turf tamers on , i know i'm gonna get my as$ kicked in total top speed but my acceleration is gonna be pretty quick.

thebutelr: I was not trying to verify your story. I was meaning has anyone actually seen or participated in a drag between the 300ex and the 250sx. I think the big red is cool too. Those things have pretty good top speed.

A 300EX shouldn't be able to smoke a 250SX, but it should beat it.

A modified 250SX should pull an EX but if the EX has any money in it, it will not, and the EX has muh more avilability for mods than the SX.

I say yank you a TRX350 ForeMan engine, cap the front output shaft, put it in your SX, add some stuff[350X topend is the same], and find your 300EX buddy

My 250sx will beat one. My piped and jetted (and airbox lid removed)86 250 Big Red Beat a piped 300ex. There were witnesses.
