Default wolf cdi box on bashee

i have a 03 banshee running a 280 jet used to run fine until i put a progrmable wolf cdi box on now i lost top of every gear definatly needs jetting any body put this box on and did u need to jet up thanks

How much timing did you program into it? You could possibly have too much.

i did not even mess with the timing so what ever it jumps it up to that is what it is at

Are your filters directly on the carbs?

You should just try a set of 290's or 300's and see if they take care of it. You shouldn't have to go over 300 though.

Are you running resistor spark plugs?

yes i have k-n airfilters right off carbs yes i am running a resistor plug a br8es and i justr got back from getting 290s and 300s actually so i am gonna try it now

If your loosing top speed, sounds like the box is pulling timming out at high rpm. If the timming curve falls of at top, so does power.

Timing should have little or no effect on jetting.I am willing to bet your running too lean.With clamp-ons you should be running at least 300 if not 320 on the mains,that is of course if your around 0-1000 ft elevation.I'm running a full airbox with Uni filter and 310 is where I'm at
