Default The right sport quad for me?

Hey guys, new here, this seems like a pretty sweet site...I love the idea of the 'buying an atv' forum...makes searching for advice much easier than other forums....anyways heres my scenario...

I'm thinking of buying a quad this summer and I need some advice on to which would fit me best...I've never owned a 4-wheeler before, but i've rode a few of them...I've also owned several dirtbikes and snowmobiles so I'm not exactly a complete newbie...I'm not looking to spend a whole lot, hopefully under 3000...what can I find in this price range? I know of the blaster, warrior, 300ex, lt250r, honda 250r, honda 250x, and the kawasaki tecate...that's all that comes to mind right now...i'm not brand loyal, nor have a preference to 4 strokes or two strokes...i do however like the idea of electric start and reverse...my riding will probably be mainly woods trails, mud, and maybe a bit of track....top speed really isn't important, any quad i've ever ridden has been slow compared to my sleds....i'm about 6'1, 180lbs if that helps at all.....

...soo, which quad do you guys think matches up best for me??

thanks!

a used 400ex might be in that price range. i like my 300ex i do lots of trail riding and it has lots of low end torque. i don't know how mechanically inclined you are if you are not stay away from 2 strokes if you are than a 2 stroke would be just right for you. oh yeah and i paid 1700 for my 300ex.

The warrior and honda 400ex seem to be your best choices. Both have electric start, but the 400ex does not have reverse. They are both nice machines and very reliable. They are also fairly quick. I would opt for a used 4ooex because of the better suspension geometry and power. The warrior is a good machine too, and excells in the trails. If you can ride them both, im sure that will help you make up your mind.
