Does anyone know where I can get a Mikuni BSR 42mm #155 main jet for a Pred 500? Without having to buy a jet kit? I ordered the hex genuine main jet and it was the wrong thread type. And is it possible to use a different type jet for instance a CV main jet?

 

First off Welcome to the forum. The jets are readily available at just about any dealer they are the same as the DS650, Raptor, and maybe others. Just let them know that you need the small round Mikuni. I usually end up getting mine at the Yamaha Dealer that is close to me.

Absolutely. It is a CV carb, so you want the mikuni "small round" main jet. But you've got the card designation spot on. It is a 42mm Mikuni BSR "CV" style carb.
