Default Repairing deep plastic scratches

Any tips out there? I tipped the V on its side. I put some pretty deep scratches in the plastic.

Do you sand them out, removing material until you get deeper than the scratch?

I have heard using SOS pads to clean scratches out really good so they don't show as bad.

Ideas?

I have thought about trying some of that colored liquid vinyl that they advertise for vinyl repair. Just never remember when I am in a store that might sell it. was going to try it on my daughters Breeze to see if it hides some of the scratches. I don't know if it will work or not, figured it might and if not I won't be out much. I know that I saw some vinyl restore stuff they sell for ATV and motorcycle plastic but I never tried it and have no idea how it works.

I rolled my V down a rocky hill. It put some deep scratches in it. I bought some PLASTIC RENEW. It works real good and makes the plastic look new again. Everything to do the job comes in the kit. Just follow the instructions. When you get all done, wait 24 hrs. and go over all the plastic with a armorall wipe cloth. You dont have to do all the plastic. Do just the areas that you have sanded the scratches out of. The armorall cloth blends everything in very nicely. lol. I bought my Plastic Renew from the local honda dealer. So you might check with your local dealers before you order it from Rockymountain ATV. Check out my pics. I took a photo of the box.
