with yamaha and bombadeir already launching their new big bore sports. and cannondale, suzuki, and kawi promising to introduce new sport/high performance machines honda needs to bring the 250r back!!!!! they would sell so fast it would be mind boggling, as long as the price remains reasonable. hell, i'm a utility rider right now but would love to have something to race occasionally!! If Honda brings this magnificiant quad back then all others would be back to the drawing board.

So, whatta ya say fellas, and ladies. lets let Honda know what we want. write, call, and e-mail them. beg, plead, threaten.....no wait don't threatin them but do whatever we need to do to get these brutes back into production!!!! Are ya with me?!?!?

to bring back the 250r would be great for some people... just because they like two stroke or just the fact of " I used to have one" but in fact addding a 250r would be kind of pointless to their lineup. the 400ex offers nearly the same power with better handling and many new and improved components.

Honda needs to find the niche markets and not try and double up on the one they pretty much master at the moment.

They need a recon 4wd, 200ex, and something to competer with the new raptor.. (something that handles and has the fit and finish of a honda) that'll shut up those yammer hammers!

I don't see how bringing back the 250r would be pointless, Yamaha has been producing a sport 4-stroke and two sport 2-strokes for some years and have sold both very well. It is because, no matter what a company makes, that company cannot agree to every single persons taste, therefore they make a couple of quads to meet a variety of taste. As for the 400 being as powerful as the 250r, and better handling...I would have to argue that point. Honda could bring back the 250r, and I still think there would be people buying the 400 because there are always people who want a sport 4-stroke. I wished Honda would step up to the plate and do like Gas Gas and produce a new 2-stroke quad that will perform. My .o2

The 250R is dead. It was good in it's day. But Stock for stock, i think the new cannondale will just have it beat every where.

Honda needs a 250 4x4, for the timberwolf and xplorer.

A 200cc 4-stroke to compete with the blaster.

Take that rubicon give it disk brakes, True 4x4, switchable 4x4, and IRS. Then it will compete with the SP500.

And now it needs something for the raptor. According to the 4-wheel ATV action. Which always gives non-honda quads bad reviews. It looks as though the Raptor has it all over the 400EX. It got 5 and 4 stars in every thing execpt Seat comfort and it got 3.

Thats just what i think anyways

The 300cc 4 stroke (300EX) competes with the Blaster. I don't think a 200cc 4 stroke would compete with a Blaster too well.

Ok maybe not. How about something in the price range of the blaster?

really, a 4,800 300EX to a 2750(that's the price here) blaster

Who ever said the honda 250r should not be brought back because the honda 400ex has the SAME POWER , Man I never rode a 250r but i have rode a 400ex and if a 250r has the same power"which i dont think i does" I would never buy one cause the 400ex's power sucks. sorry 400ex fans.

250R's day has come & gone. Now if they introduced a 400 2 stroke with an updated 250R frame, now that would be SWEEEEET.

I am taking a long shot by picking the fuel injected Cannondale over the Raptor in a shoot out. The Yamaha guys will howl if this happens!

Build another two stroke, you've got to be kidding. In another 2 years noone will be building 2 strokes. If you can't sell them in California and soon other states as well, why try?

Why try? because as we speak, new technological advanced are coming to two strokes. They're making them more enviromentally safe so people like Al Gore won't ban them from almost every riding area. The reason Honda will not bring back the 250R is not because it's day has gone...heck, it's day is still here. It has to be because it can still keep up with the Banshee and the 400EX. The reason it ain't coming back is because Honda has gone to more enviromentally safe quads. Hence the reason they don't produce any 2 stroke ATV's.
