I like to mostly ride trails and sometimes race my friends what would be the best quad for me i have arancher now i want to step it up what is the best fo me?

 

I just bought a 2002 300 ex and I love it I definetly like the reverse feature I wish the 400 had that but the 300 is plenty fast for me

 

Depends on what's really important to you


if 10mph gain in top speed is important then go with the 400EX

if reverse is more important go with the 300EX

Honestly though .. with the weight of the 400EX, you'll have to be in a pretty hairy situation to actually NEED reverse, unless you're really really small. And chances are good that if you can't push it out, reverse isn't going to help you anyway. I'd recommend the 400EX.

I think most will say get the 400EX. I have one and its a very fun quad. A buddie just bought a new 300EX and seems like he was a little disappointed with the power but for the price he paid he shouldn't be. It cost quite a bit less than my 400EX. They are both fun quads but if you can spring for the 400 then definitely get it.

 

i have both and the 400 is a lot more fun, although the 300 can be fun.

 

I LOVE my 300ex but i think you would be happier with a 400ex, reverse isnt a must but sometimes it can help, like when your in a creek in the winter time (bad experience w/o reverse), but how often does that happen? Anyway, a 400ex sounds about right for you but ive had many great times on my 300ex.
