Default Finally got the Prairie back, But....

We just got my Wife's Prairie back from the dealer today after 4 weeks of trying to get some
recall work done on it which they replaced parts with the front steering... (parts on back order
from Kawasaki apparently) well after we had it loaded in the truck the wife noticed that they
added a some new scratches (deep ones at that) and a small crack in the plastic.. well after
looking it over some more, I got the service manager out and showed him the damage, just
to let him know they were not there when we broght it in.. I didnt want new plastic, I just
wanted to bring it to his attention since it was a 2000 and it had a its share of scratches in it already
and a few other dings on it . I only wanted them to be more careful with the next guys
4 wheeler as that person my not be as nice. .. But the service manager wouldnt let
us leave with out a free full service coupon, oil change, valve adjustment, the works...

Good Deal...

I wonder if the wife will let me use it for my V..hehe

sorry about the scratches, but you have to love it when a motorcycle dealership actually takes care of you. I may have had a heart attack right there, if I had been in your shoes. I'm so used to the horrible attitudes from the dealers around my area, you would need before and after pictures, 2 eyewitnesses and a certified letter from an attorney just to get them to make an appointment to speak with the service manager. LOL to give you a real example of this areas nasty folks, my car had a nasty scuff in the bumper when I got it back from the service dept. at my local dealer. When I let the service manager know my car had been tagged sometime while they had it. The lady asked me "Sir, if your car was hit in the parking lot while at Kmart shopping would you go to the manager?" WTF,BIT@H?!? How many kmarts have a lot attendant and offer valet parking?!? anyway, congratulations on meeting decent people!!

You are one of the lucky ones. I went to my local dealer (Hickory, N.C.) to purchase a green P700. We negotiated a deal and I test drove a red P700. The deal was that he was going to bring one from another one of his stores that was green and I could pick it up in about 3 hours. I left and took my wife home (I had to have her approval - I like NOOKIE on a regular basis). I wnt back to pick up My new Green P700 to take it home. The salesman loaded it for me and gave me my winch and mounting kit. I got home, Unloaded the P700, and went straight to work on the Winch installation. I noticed a dent in the fornt bumper plastic while removing the wheel well cover. I found the following: Mud in frame, dented wheel, rip in the fender flare, marks where a trailer ball had been mounted, many scratches on the belly skid plate, and once I rode it in the cow pasture it was smoking, And last was that it had 7 hrs and 27 miles on it. Needless to say I WAS PISSED.

To shorten the story I took pictures of everything, and went to the dealer. 3 days later after hiring an attorney and threatning Law Suits I was given a Brand new red P700. By the way, the green P700 is still sitting on the showroom floor for sale as "new" with repairs made. I have since driven 40 miles to buy parts and get my P700 serviced.

Moral: LOOK BEFORE YOU SIGN OR LOAD!!!

My dealer has given me nothing but great service. When we first got our prairie It was USED and after about two weeks it needed new front brake pads. I went down to the dealer to buy a set and when I told him what I needed he handed me a set and said, "take em, you shouldnt have to spend money for stuff like that so soon." Also, when ever the dealer has had to do any kind of work on it they rarely, if ever, had it longer than a day.
