Well, i've been thinking about doing all kinds of mods to my 300EX, and i just started thinking tonight..Maybe i should just buy a 350X motor!

I would have out a 1,000 in mods...why not just go buy a used 350X ATC, Take out the motor and sell the darn parts!

What do you guys think?

Cstark do you feel your TC Racing 300EX is better than a 350X powered 300EX?

go with the 350X and there is room for improvment still L.A sleeve makes a 452 kit!

But a 350X motor is about 23HP(stock), with a 6 speed gearbox, kick start, and no reverse.
Am I right here???

When you start doing modifications to motors, anything is possible.

Installing a 350X motor in your 300EX frame would require new motor mounts, custom head-pipe, loss of electric start and reverse. It's up too you to decide if it is worth it.
