Default holy crap 105.5mm 730 big bore, new cylinder, look at mr hp's website

i was just on mr hp's website looking around and clicked on the kits link and there it was a 730 big bore kit, with what looks like plenty of material for the head to seal, its a nikasil bore, with either 11:1 or 14:1, it just looks awesome, brand new cast cylinder, what more could you ask for...things are starting to look good for the ds

Very cool!!! I just picked up my DS, and I'm starting the search for more power. Any kind of price quote? Any suggestion on the site about which carb will have to be run with it, etc? I guess I could just look at his site too...lol.

you would think so and that is a bit much for the sleeve and boring and piston, but you guys pay an arm and a leg for a piston huh...that would be a screamer..they just came out with a 106.. for the raptor,no one runs it yet i dont think..

well the cost is not including a sleeve because it doesnt use a sleeve, its a brand new cast aluminum cylinder with a nikasil bore just like factory...it looks awesome, look at all that head sealing area.

Arrghh I would have went with that instead of a 720 from TVI... if my 720 gets beat badly this year I will send my entire motor to MrHP and have him stroke, port, and get a new piston. The 720 kit piston looks a little flat. I'm starting to wonder if it is indeed 12:5.1 compression. I had a Ron Wood piston and it went further into the head than my 720 piston.

The last time I checked, My JE piston was 105.5mm, does this mean Im a 730cc too??
The good thing about mrhp piston is the light-weight & nikasil, and I guess the ring package is better. I thought you could deck the head or use less base gasket to make more compression if it will clear in head... Am I wrong? I might be, I m by far no mechanic. But I do know that the sleeve needs to be installed correctly (@ certain temp) to prevent shifting (Im sure Mr Hp has it all dialed in)... But The punisher and I payed dearly for the R&D on this 105.5 big bore kit when It first came out and we told samcoe that this kit he had needed an O-ring. That is after a few $k in troubleshooting. Do we get any credit? No. Imagine that, No o-ring on a sleeve that had no room to seal. Im sure the kit Mr HP has will not have any head gasket leak issues. Im glad Eric is doing good things for the ds, and people like samcoe are not shattering dreams.
