well i just got it,going to put it on later.it came with a tiny platic washer its made by yamaha,what is it?

why would u buy anything from yamaha first of all??

 

umm i did'nt buy anything from yahmaha..the plastic washer came in a yamaha bag and it was with the hpd pipe i ordered for my scrambler..

 

i just looked in my manual and i guess its the main jet washer,i guess yamaha uses the same one?

 

i got the carb apart..there was no main jet washer and the yamaha one doesnt even fit around the jet.did they send me the wrong one?somebody help please

 

another thing,the mounting setup for the pipe is different than my fmf,which the dealer installed..the rubber piece that came with the hpd pipe and bolts to the bracket on the pipe and sits up againts the frame right?and then i just use the spring and hook it to where the origanal pipe bolted on?my fmf bolts on with a bracket so im a little confused..

 

Your right on the pipe mounting. The little plastic washer goes under the carb slide needle clip to raise it and richen the part throttle up. The midrange tends to be a little lean on those pipes, so keep a good eye on things.

 

thanks bubba..one thing,the washer is to small to fit around the jet so i cant screw it in.did they send me the wrong washer?
