you get the chasing "00" on the speedometer? Even when you start moving you still get the "00's" .

Yeah I've seen this on my quad as well. The dealer says that it has something to do with the wiring in the control module. With the older grizzlies with the override wiring installed the speedometer doesn't work at all for some reason when the override is on. Maybe it flashes the zeros to remind us that we have our thumb on the override switch lol.

I don't have to touch the override switch. As soon as i lock the diff on mine it does it.

If still under warranty I would take the unit in to get looked at. It should only flash that when the override button is pressed. Does your machine govern out when in diff-lock without the override button pushed?

no, it is not limited in diff-lock. but i did the reverse override and that is probably why it does that.

I was pretty sure that the grizz was limited to 22 mph when in diff lock going forward.

That is probably why. The computer(if thats what it is?) thinks that the override button is being pushed all the time. That's provably why you don't have the speed limiter in diff-lock.

MADDOG
The 04 grizzlies come with a override button if you need more wheelspeed over 22mph in diff lock only (they have retained the reverse speed limiter though).

Right, I knew that, I almost bought one. I just had thought that they were limited in diff lock. That reverse and diff lock limiter and the fact that you had to use the override button was one of the reasons I went with a kawasaki.

The reverse limiter is a real pain in the a$$. I've been in situations where i could have got out of a bind if it wasn't for the limiter. That kawi is a fast machine. I just got my doors blown off by one, today on the logging road. I had to pull him out though a mile after that he got buried in a snow bank. I guess IRS on the grizz has it's advantages as well
