I was just wondering how you guys like your 450r's so far.

Being a former Honda owner for yrs - this is the best thing Honda has put out for the sport !
Love it Elec strart would of been nice - but id rather kick it than sit on the Yamaha ....

 

I love my 450R, It has great power, It rips through the tall first gear, as well as the last four gears, it has a GREAT balance point that you'd expect from any honda, It jumps very well with the smallest punch, it is real light, excellent hillclimber, from what ive put it through, it is very durable, starts usually on the first kick if you know what your doing, looks great IMO, great on trails, definatly a good bike on the mx track, soft cushy suspension and seat, very good handling, spot on brakes, feels good when you sit on it. It has everything i need on it except nerf bars, im also getting an HRC kit on it to give me a little more umph on the MX track.

 

i love my 450r. no matter what any mag. said i have out ran yzf's 450 in every kind of drag racing. if you change the front sprocket to a 13 tooth it 's even quicker.

i have ridden the yzf 450 in my opinion it's not nearly as nice as the honda.

 

thanks. i dont think any other bike could fill this ones spot, mags dont mean shat, especially dirtywheels, its all about personnal preferance.

 

I tell ya, I am simply amazed by how fast the 450R really is. The power comes on strong and is super smooth the quad pulls strong all the way through fifth gear! I recently dropped the front sprocket from 14t to 13t and the quad is crazy----powerfully responsive!!! I am very pleased with the stock power, I have however just purchased the HRC kit and K&N airfilter. Haven't installed it yet but I know I will like it. Honda claims a 13 percent increase in horsepower which should be around 4 or 5 horse! I only bought it because it is genuine Honda parts that will increase performance which is nutts because I feel the stock power is plenty! I am going to ceramic coat the head pipe, block off the parking brake, maybe a Durablue Axle and call it quits.... very pleased 450R owner----Bill [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

I like mine. Its miles ahead of the 440ex I had with aftermarket everything. I went from back of the pack to the front.
