PVL ignition
#4
I think that the main goal of pvl ignition is to lower rotating mass. Instead of the stator being inside of a steel flywheel that has to be large enough to fit around the outside of the stator, pvl uses a small aluminum flywheel that spins inside if the now bigger stator. The lighter and smaller circumference of the the flywheel, the easier the engine can spin it, which equals superfast revving. The downside is you pretty much cut your engine braking in half. In laymens terms, great for drag racing, not so great for trails. Hope this helps.
