good price for a sportsman?

just wonderin what a good price for a sportsman would be.my local dealer quoted me a price of $6000.is this a good price?.also should i buy a 2000 model or wait a couple months for a 2001-here there will be changes-better brakes?does the ebs really work?

well 6000 is what i paid, well i payed 6300 but that was with the 300$ winch so basiclly the same price, yes this is a good price especially since MSRP is 7000....

i have the 2000 model with the few updates such as better fan and better PVT cover, and the belt never slips and the braking is great, it does take a little effort to brake over my old honda but for one it weighs more and secondly i like it better becasue i can get jsut the right amount of braking i need, and the braking effort is nowhere near difficult....now for the EBS it is amzing! i hardly ever use the brakes....you will like this machine
