Default Canadians interested in buying the new Dyna CDI

Talked to Scott at Dynatek. Two positive items: they will ship by Post Office if you want. This means a $5 broker's fee instead of a $30-$40 broker's fee if shipped by courier to Canada. The other thing is that the CDI is made in the USA - this means no duty charges. (NAFTA) Total cost: $247 US plus shipping, plus $5 broker's fee, plus HST/GST.

Nova,
Don't forget the 10% discount (off of $247 price) if you order between now and the end of April.

Happy trails...

If you got a buddy in the states to purchase it for you, and have him sent it up via USPS, declared as a gift with a value less than $20 buck, you wont' pay no $5 fee or GST/HST total $296 cdn. compared to $344.00 cdn

If they make one for the V and it shows noticeable gains I will get one. For now my Praire has enough power but based on what people say I may get one for it too.

crazyrc: I asked the question of the forum if anyone was getting email confirmation of their cdi online order. No answer, just some talk about Dynatek isn't going broke, don't worry. My question concerned whether or not they got my order.

I later looked on the record invoice I printed, and it is titled Order Confirmation, so I think that serves in place of the usual email confirmation. I don't think you will have any problems from ordering online.

Kawiyo,
I ordered a Dyna cdi last Monday by phone, and I have rec'd no confirmation yet. I never actually asked whether I'd get a confirmation of my order, but I got the impression from talking to Scott V. on Wednesday that they'd ship it out as soon as they had some built and ready to be shipped (which should occur Monday or so). I would not worry about it if you don't rec' an e-mail confirmation of your order...just wait a reasonable amount of time and if it hasn't arrived yet, give them a call for a status.

Happy trails...
