Please, for those of us that haven't yet ordered this unit, do some "before and after" top speed and acceleration timed runs. This is valuable info. I'm already running the retarded cam timing and a 6 degree ignition key; I want to know if the gains from the new CDI will be worth the bother of going back in to remove the offset key.

Went from 64mph top to 72 and let off Saturday and this is the preproduction one. The ones that are being released are actually better! I can't wait to get my four CDI's!!!!!!

Hey Wrench, I saw where you put the V overdrive plate on the Pra.........where did you find the engine brake bearing to press into it? I have been thinking about doing it but they don't come with the bearing since the V doesn't use the brake.....what does the plate actually do, I assume it just pulls quicker because of the less weight letting the clutch go through it's travel faster....Is this right?

Nova,
I'm way ahead of you...in fact, I did some timed runs this morning (with my DG holeshot turned on) at 100' and 300' and also top speed runs. I plan to do similar tests with the new cdi once it arrives at my house (I'm hoping I'll get one sometime early next week...keeping my fingers crossed!). I'll report back with my before and after results.

Happy trails...

I ordered my 5 CDI's today!

STAKK, I removed the engine brake rod, we do not use them. The plate weighs less and the way it is designed it is suppose to gain more on the top end also.
