I would start by removing all of the Baja accessories (skids, bumper, aux lights, handguards, etc) These are easy to remove and put back on and wont cost you a dime.

Depends on the intended use of your ride.

I managed to reduce the over all weight of the wife`s bike by just over 80 lbs and I`m not done yet !

I updated "My page" it has some pics of the frame mods.

In addition to the frame (almost 15lbs)...

Solid suspension all the way around with alum struts....

Chromoly swingarm with Banshee carrier holding a JJ&A 40mm alum axle twisting alum hubs all the way across.....

Alum A-Arms....

520 chain & sprocket conversion....

.125 wheels

ALL non-essentials removed (bumper & tabs - grab bar - skidplate - airbox - FRT fenders - FRT brakes - and so on.....

Mr. HP lightweight components coming soon.....

This bike is application specific of course.

Fuse that type of weight loss with an insane 650 built by Horsepower Research and it should prove to be quite an enjoyable sensation when the clutch is dropped !

I`ll weigh it when its finished and report the final number for you.
