without higher compression you will actually suffer a power loss

the only power your going to lose without raised compression with race gas is the power of money, you don't need it until you get into the 11-1 ratio's which is about 160 or higher psi of compression.

with higher compression your quad will run a lot better if you use a higher octane fuel. Its not at all like adding nitrous. Its more like running the proper fuel to get your quad to run to its full potential.

so, does it give me more power?
or is just making my engine more reliable?
or does itjust simply run cooler and a lil better?

you basically cant do one with out another. if you raise the compression too much then you need the higher octane fuel for it. Without the compression there is no need for race fuel

because the higher compression the more BANG the piston has when it fires.
think of it this way, blow a ballon up until it is ready to pop (this is a engin with high compresison) then take a ballon and only put one breath of air in it(this is a low compression engin) pop both of them with a needle,

which ones makes a bigger bang and deflates quicker?
