A bore job will last as long as a stock bored cylinder will, providing there is still adequate cooling. With a 2 stroke you should be refreshing the engine with new rings and gaskets every couple years and new piston every once in a while anyway.

If you increase your bore a little, cooling isnt really an issue. If you are planning on a lot of displacement increase, invest in a set of coolheads for your shee.
