Why Not Fuel Injection
#1
Why don't dealers switch to fuel Injection. We would not have to worry about re-jetting, get better gas mileage, and it would be more reliable. Some quads already have it. They have better performance also, unless you have your carb tweaked absolutely perfect. Fuel Injection is way simpler also. Anybody else think Manufacturers should switch to Fuel Injection or stay with Carburated?

For racing and stuff like that I would stick with a carb, mostly because it can be tuned to how I want it. The advantage of a fuel injection system is that the motor would never "die" due to lack of fuel when going through a rough spot, which may happen every once in a while on a carb...but the disadvantage of fuel injection is the huge cost, carbs are much cheaper and are less hassle to work on. My vote stays with what seems to work...the carb.

I would vote for the fuel injection. But only if they gave free hacking software and download cable with it, so I could play with it!!!!

Why didn't you buy a Cannondale?
EFI adds quite a bit to the price of a quad.

Or I could buy a turbo that comes with Fuel Injection and blow the doors off of just about anything that lined up next to me. Now that would be awesome. going from 26 hp to 41...and if I added a 440 kit....Wow I'd love to see those numbers.

I glad you are so smart you could tell the future of Cannondale back then.
The fact is you are CHEAP.
It was available and you didn't buy it.
The cannondale was a good value for what you got, a race ready quad.
Face it, you want EFI but don't want to pay for it.
You just want to sit and snivel.
Yes this is a flame.

Even if more manufacturers had it, it would still cost a lot of money, and you still wouldnt be able to afford it.
BTW, you could get a cdale cannibal for 8k with aluminum frame, ohlins front and rear, efi, and the most power availible at the time.
MSRP on a yfz is about 7k with a steel frame, mediocre shocks, a single carb, and about the same power.
