Default Not sure what to buy.

Looking to buy , but not sure between Gizzly 660 or Sportsman 700. Problem is that I am worried about the Sportsman's belt slipping when exposed to water (mud hole , rice field , etc.) . Any information would be greatly appreciated.

They both are really nice quads. My neighbor had both but he liked the Polaris better. Since they're both auto's, don't they both have belts? I'm not a fan of the belts, I had to pull a 700 out of a river before because the owner decided to stay in a bit too long and it slipped. If your doing alot of towing/water driving, I would pick a 4X4 with a manual gearbox and shaft drive. My old man has a Suzuki King Quad which is a tiny 4X4 but it never has any problems the belt driven ones do. Hope this helps.....

theu are both good quads. and you are probably going to have the same problem with belt slippage with either. But i think that the grizz is supposed to have a sealed belt case but I bet it is just a sales gimmick. It is pretty hard to keep water out of anything no matter how much silicone there is.

But I would defnetaly take the SP 700 over the Grizzly. Maby cuz Iam a Polaris guy. J/K. I have driven both and I personly like the SP 700 better.

EITHER MACHINE WILL HAVE BELT SLIPPAGE IF IN THE WATER TOO LONG. CHECK BENEATH THE MACHINES TO SEE HOW HIGH UP THE SNORKLE IS FOR THE BELT CASE. I DONT KNOW FOR SURE ON THE GRIZZ BUT THE POLARIS DOESNT HAVE ANY TROUBLE ON CROSSING DEEP WATER. MY DAD HAS THE 700 POLARIS AND WE RIDE IN WV WITH ABOUT 15-20 CREEK CROSSINGS. HOPE THIS HELPS

out of the 2 id pick the grizz, they have a better belt system that keeps the belt engaged at all times so your belts will last much much longer
