Default 2000 Sportsmans 90 Lube for the Transmission??

Help!!

I went to 2 different Polaris dealers to get oil for the Transmission. Each one told me something different. One said to use AGL (part #2873602) ATV Gear Case Lubricant which is purple and very liquidy. The other told me to use ATV Front Gear Drive Fluid (part #2871653) which is a heavy liquid like 80w gear lube.

When I drained it, it was like a thick lube. What do I use?

Thanks

Yes you can use tranny fluid (mercon). It's lubricating quality's may be superior to engine oils. I indeed use mercon in my race machines.

The manual says to use the AGL trans case fluid (purple) I try to stick with all polaris fluids in my bikes but if you want to take that chance then you can save some $$$$ The agl was like 12.00 a qt
