Default Predator oil change ?????

Each time that I've changed my oil, it has taken 2 quarts. I think it's susposted to take 2.25 or 2.5, but after changing it, I always end up with just 2. Maybe a little left in the motor or something. I use the Polaris PS4 in mine. Some people use other types of synthetics.

Default Predator oil change ?????

Well i'm new to the pred as far as maintenance goes..

I changed my oil the other day, i put 2 quarts of PS-4 and changed the filter, I am planning a big ride this weekend i checked it again last night and i need to add some...

So i am guess 2 1/4 quarts fills it...

Also make sure you reprime your oil pump, They say you don't have to, but on mine after i changed the oil it didn't change the level in the oil take even after 10 or so minutes, i reprimed it and the oil level changed..

There is a vent hose on the top of the oil tank, pinch it off about 2 inches from the tank run the engine for about 5-10seconds turn it off then release the hose you should hear the sound of air (rushing) when you remove the pliers from the hose, and its primed..........

thats odd TR500... you shouldnt have to do that unless you unhook all the oil lines from the engine...
that means that your top end wasnt getting all the oil it needed while you were riding before... meaning it could cause alot of wear.

I thought so too, Its a good thing i didn't ride it after the oil change, i let it idle for a little then checked it again, it was WAY past full i knew it wasn't flowing the oil from the tank into the engine. I reprimed it and the oil level went to the full mark...
