Default smoking mojave

today one of my friends quads was blowing out a serious amounts of blue smoke, not like little puffs like reallly thick blueish mostly white smoke. the first thing i thought was that he blew his piston rings, before he came he filled his oil, it wasnt overfilled, but by the time he was done trying to just rev the smoke out his oil was lower than before, could this be fried piston rings... but it ran fine? just smoked reallly bad

does he have the stock airbox set up? cause i thought about wierd things and i knopw that the mojave is pretty touch with the crankase breather and often there is about a teespoon or two of oil in the drain tube after a long hard ride or catwalks.if it was overflowed could it not flow more oil into the airbox and take it into the carb and burn it?if his piston rings were shot you should here a clicking little knock on the top end and you would definetly notice pwer loss.

Could also be a head gasket, allowing coolant in somewhere? (White smoke)
