Default Polaris/White Bros Exhaust for SP600 & 700

Howdy All...

I posted this on another forum, but I need your opinion too.

I was wondering if any of you have used White Bros. products on your quads? I've used their stuff on a couple of 500cc four stroke ice racing bikes with GREAT results. But those were all older singles, and my 700 is a twin. Could I "expect" then same type of results?

I've seen the slip-on muffler they offer (with a Polaris badge) and it would look kinda cool on my 700. Just wondering about performance gains, sound levels and possible problems I may encounter. How about any other additions that may be necessary with aftermarket mufflers and/or systems. W.Bros told me that this muffler will work of both the EFI and carb versions WITHOUT any modifications or jetting changes. Do you believe that?

I also see Polaris is sort of "in bed" with White Bros. and was wondering what you all thought.

And lastly.... If not White Bros..... Whose exhaust would you recommend for a SP700 and why... I'm looking for performance gains and a nice sound without increasing the noise level too much...

Thanks......

Check out the muffler here....

Looks like a sweet slip on, but isn't it the one from polaris for the predator??? Doesn't look to me like it would
fit on my 600.....

So what do you all think of this White Bros. muffler? Or of White Bros. products in general? Like I said, I've used their stuff on bikes before, but never on quads.

Insight? Opinions? Anyone?

ftwflh....

So you're getting one of these, eh? Cool. I wonder if it's the same thing as the model for the 600/700 twins. I'm going to guess that it is not due to the fact a twin would probably need more volume in the muffler chamber. But this is an uneducated guess.

Hope you like it. Fill us in with a progress/performance report...

I just installed this exact silencer on my sportsman 600 today. I called my polaris dealer and asked them if they could order me up a hotseat performance silencer. The parts guy said that he wouldn't see that silencer that I wanted from hotseat for about a week. He said that he had a Pure Polaris White bros. performance silencer in stock, and I should come down and check it out. So I went down there and saw the polaris model. He told me that it was made for polaris by white bros. I asked him if he had sold any in the past. He told me he out sells the pure polaris model 5 to 1 over the hotseat performance silencer. So I got the polaris one, and I wasn't dissapointed one bit. I love the new sound of my exhaust. Almost sounds like my buddies scrambler 500 H.O., but with a little bit deeper tone. My low end torque is stronger, and I can feel more power over the entier power band. The pure polaris model retails for $215.99 (I paid $197.99 because I bought the display model).

i had the same muffler on my '05 700 EFI, gains were noticed in low and mid range, no affect on top end....gains were also small in low and mid, but gave some extra torque...i took it off after one ride because it was alittle too loud for me....i use my machine alot for scouting and hunting and want to be as noiseless as possible....one of our forum members is purchasing mine from me....

if anyone happens to want a Progressive Suspension front end kit with springs and adjusters for their 2002-2004.5 600 or 700 Sportsman, let me know...I have one sitting in my garage new in the box...well almost new....was going to put on my '05 because thats what progressive had listed...but it doesn't fit, springs are way smaller than the '05s....
