Default sp 600 vacuum leaks!

I heard this hissing sound while my sp600 was idling/warming up.... funny? Just noticed this after I had to
turn the mixture screw out a little for it to idle better, and noticed I had to have the choke out more when starting/
riding cold. I found a crack about 3/4 inch long in the rubber intake manifold right next to the clamp holding it to
the carb!!! I also noticed the rubber hose from the airbox to the carb is cracked (weatherchecked also.
Has anyone else seen this before???? Mine has about 600 miles on it, but I'd say the carb has been on/off about 6 times, and The last time I gotn it back from the dealer those rubber expansion nuts that hold the cab bracked to the
fram were so torn up they werent doing a thing.... so maybe all that excess vibration had something to do with it?
----Just got me worried about how much dirt might have gotten in there

I had the same problem with my 700. The carb intake was updated to a stronger design, unfortunately not under warranty. The boot runs about 40.00. The filter side of the carb can probably be sealed with silicone because there is less pressure and a leak here won't run lean.

just got off the phone with my dealer! He said if I bring him the bad/torn intake manifold, He will give me a new one free
He said he will get it covered under warranty!!! Great news!, I have it alsmost off anyways, and I'd prefer to do it myself!
They must be having problems with these??? I'm going to replace the boot from the air box to carnb also, just because it's
weather checked.
