Default battery tender, anyone use one????

i was at my local dealer getting my battery replaced under warranty. The guy there told me to buy a battery tender. basically what it is is a little charger that you keep on the battery whenever it sits for a while. it will charge it and then when its fully charged it will automoatically go to a float where it just maintains a full charge. Anyone have one? just want to get some imput before i pay the 35 bucks for it.

Nope just plug it in and walk away...... once the battery is up to charge then it goes into float mode..... if the battery drops any it starts charging again. The one at walmart is called an ever start battery companion.

You can get a battery tender jr. they run about 20 bucks and do everything like they say they do. I keep moving mine around from one battery to the other, anything with a 12 volt battery.Ive had mine 4 years and it still works great, and havent had a battery go bad yet.
