I inspected the belt on my '98 sp500 and found I had lost about 4 inches worth of teeth, I have no idea how I did this. Is this a common problem and can anyone recommend a good replacement belt. Thanks for any advice.

I may not be any help to you but I'd suggest on getting a new belt from the dealer.

Those belts sound pretty big to me...4 inches thick you say???...that's huge.

Any problems with the belt can usually be traced
to a build up of heat. Several things contribute
to this. 1. Clutches misaligned 2.clutches worn
3.Rider abuse. You should use low range whenever
you pull, plow, mud or climb if possible.

LOL....I'm sorry, I though he meant the thickness...that would be awsome at 4" thick.
