Default Larger tires...

I have a 2001 Sportsman 500H.O. and it all stock! I was wondering if I could put on 26'' ITP 589 M/S on and have enough clearance while turning. Does anyone else have this setup or any other info would be great!

Thanks!

Everything will be fine except the width of the front tires may rub the tie rods unless you use a spacer. The ITP 589 is an awesone tire.

Cool, Thanks!!

One more question...Is that on stock rims or do I have to get different rims also?

I'm almost certain that you will be just fine with the 26's. My friend has them on his Rancher withouth any clearence problems, and I would dare to say that a sp had more room than a Rancher. Also, your stock wheels will work just fine. My sp came with black wheels, what I like, so when I replace my stock tires, most likley 26 or27 inch 589s, I will put them on the black wheels. If I had the silver/chrome wheels, I would most likley buy some black Itp wheels. The set up your talkin about will work fine.

Thank you for your help. I also called Rocky Mountain ATV and they said the same thing. I'm going with my stock rims and new ITP 589's all the way around!! Can't wait for Memorial day now. Got a big camp out quad trip planned and looking forward to having the new tred!!
