Default Ds 650 sand Tires?

Can someone give me some recommendations on proper size sand tires for a 2004 ds 650 baja? The Ds will be mostly stock except an after market pipe and jet kit. I was looking at the hauler extreme 22inch
9 paddle on the rear. Although I have heard complaints about the 22 inch tires rubbing the foot guards when the rear shock is compressed? should I go with a smaller tire? please let me know

thanks

Get different Heel guards or if you are comfortable ridding with out them jut get rid of them . I would go with 8 paddles let the engine rev better.

Thanks for the info. 22 inch haulers is what I will purchase. Any opinion on 8 paddle vs. 9 paddle?

Go with a 8 paddle unless you have something extra in the engine.

where do you plan to ride? and what gearing do you run, if your coming to the oregon dunes and you ds is stage two or less don't go over 9 paddle in the winter 8 is probably to much and in the summer 12 would probably work so 9 would be a good area, for all around

I have had the 04 since july last year. I have run 22X11X10 10 paddles and have not had a problem with any rubbing. My bike has been to all the oregon dunes, sand mountian and glamis with those paddles.

Are you able to keep your RPM's up with your 10 paddle tires? Also, have you modifeid your engine at all?

If you plan on doing much racing with the quad and not alot of mods, the 8 paddles are the way to go, you'll keep your RPMS up better, If your more concernd with softer sand and just getting from point A to point to point B the 9 paddles will work well. really either one is a good choice but I would go 8 paddles for sure if it were me.
