Default Ideas on Blaster rear brake modifications?

My blaster's back brakes suck. They have been fixed at least 5 times... and actually should be working just fine. But, they're not. After two or three rides they go back to not working unless you are going less than snail speed. I heard you can take back brakes off another quad and put them on the blaster??? Is this possible and what quads do they come from?

All blaster brakes suck, they are natorious for that.
One thing you can do is buy a "shorty" cable from motion pro. Have you ever noticed that your rear brake cable goes to your handle bars are well? That is for the parking brake so every time you are pressing on the cable it has to move that as well. The brake problems are usually because the cable seizes up.

Another thing you can do is purchase the whole hydrolic set off the 2003 and up models. They can be adapted to fit the later ones with a little work. I have also heard that the CR250 rear caliper bolts onto the blaster as well..

Hope this helps

Yes, I know how to adjust them. and Yes they are adjusted. Plus I have two mechanics in the family that keep any eye on me.

Blaster brakes do just suck. I havea new back brake cable... replaced it when i replaced my front ones, recently. The cable is fine... i think maybe its the caliper. Thanks for the CR250 idea. I also heard you can use them from a quadzilla. I dont know how true that is tho. This helped alot! thankx!

You can use just about any caliper you want to if you have some one who can fab a plate to hold it to the axle carrier. If you know some one who is a master fabricator then you can do just about anything.
