if i was you i would definatly put my money towards a Raptor. They are awesome off the start and will definatly get it done on a stretch. And if you really like wheelies a Raptor is for you. Trust me, i own one. And its not that i am braging them up but i used to own a 400 ex and they seem like toys against the big bore of the raptor.

If you want to be riding w/ the big guys, you probably want something more nimble like the YFZ, or the 450r, that can deliver huge speed and good control..
I really don't know how they perform in water or something like that, but i went with the YFZ and it was well worth it...As far as wheelies go, the 450R would be your bike considering its very light front end.
but jumping is best done on a YFZ

I was at a drag strip today or one that counts, let me tell you the yzf450 was smoking everthing out there. c-dales, predators, 250r, my raptor (Yes its built too). Yet no one could keep up. This guy was riding wheelies as he pulled away from us. If your experianced enough I would put my money to the yzf. It will be my next buy after I test ride, I am more for comfort than speed but that machine is awsome. Hands down I haven't seen anything that quick in a while. Also rumor is next year yamaha will make it true 450 so you may want to wait. Even so all you need is the top end from the 450 dirt bike to make the yzf a true 450. Anyway thats allot of info but hey you should get the best if you want to run like them

Wow, if I could afford any one of those quads you mentioned!! Well, simple...The raptors...I love the way they look.....easy to mod...and man do they have some torque in them....But I would look at the 450 class...i love the rappy but the 450s are the new evolution..Honestly I don't think you can go wrong with anyof them....the raptor would be a beast for trails...so would the 450R if it was geared down a little...wheelies..gotta give it to the 450r...as for dragging these three quads...your going to get biased answers...You'll hear that the 450r will win hands down..then the yfz 450 will win hands down..then the rappy will wins hand down....which is funny because I never heard of three winners...they are all just awesome quads...and if you own any of the three..you'll be happy..I know I would...I'm looking at getting a 450r at the end of this year though! (if I'm lucky)
