Default Whats up with 350 raptor

Has anybody seen or rode that 350 raptor yet? Every time I go to the dealer.. they are gone!. I guess they cant keep them in stock, they're gone that day. Im having them call me the next time one comes in so I can go look at it. I was considering gettin rid of my blaster and getting one. Im 105 lbs so I can t have the big one! Reviews on the lil rappy?

They had a white/red one at the dealer the other day when I was up there. It looked good...I sat on it, it felt much better than my warrior. I was very impressed with it. Thinking about grabbing another quad for the wife or friends to ride.

The dealer told me that they took the new Raptor 350 and one of the old style warriors off the showroom floor and out on the road alongside the shop and raced them...He said the Raptor 350 beat the warrior by a good bit. He said the lighter weight and cam in the Raptor 350 gives it more topend pull, but he felt like the old style warrior had more bottom end pull...

Where is it written that the cam is different in the Raptor 350? I've compared bikes on both yamaha canada and US sites and the only stated difference on the engine is the carb. The rap has a BSR carb (whatever that is) and the Warrior doesn't. The torque specs posted on the canadian site are identical. I'd be interested to know where this information comes from ...

It came from the dealer...and he could be BS'n me to get me to buy it......he said it had a whole new valvetrain...i dunno.....

Seems like I did read in one of the mags that it did have a new cam, but I am not sure.

But it did look and feel great, and I thought it was cool that Yama gave me something new to think about.

Its pretty mutch the same engine as the warrior and yes it has cam well thats what ive heard anyway its just like the warrior but with some improvements like suspention, minor engine tweaks and better exhaust. The only think i dont like the front end grill kills the look.

I happened to be up north riding trails with our group and we wound up racing
(a guy we met at a gas stop) a stock warrior vs, the new 350 it won by like 2-3 lengths

if you have ever driven a Warrior it is similar all Warriors climb hills like you wouldn't believe they are
heavy enough to keep the front end down but have some decent torque
