Default My new LTZ250

Just bought a brand new LTZ250 yesterday. My primary ATV is a Yamaha Kodiak 450 utlity model, but sadly its gonna be in the shop for a week or two. Anyway I bought the Suzuki sport because I thought it would be a nice second ATV for friends and family, and something for me to try diferrent stuff on. I am surprized how slow it seems, and maybe the ride is more bumpy. It reminds me of a hair dryer on wheels. First and second seem to max out and I fel it didnt give me much of a thrill. I got it for $3800 and Im thinking of exchanging it for a Honda 300ex or a Yamaha Raptor 350 (obviously costing 700-1000 more) How much more responsive will the others be, and more awkward with having to use a clutch? Should I keep the LTZ250 as it came highly recommended at the showroom? What do you guys think? Would the Ozark 250 be the same performance or more sluggish?

Z is better than the Ozark cause' the gearing is different than the Ozark and it handles better. Plus I think it has more travel than the O'zark? If it's for friends and family who have never rode, keep it! If it's for experienced riders who can use a clutch, then off it....Correct me if I'm wrong guys....?

So you think my LTZ250 is more a beginner unit because its not so powerful, and cos its auto clutch? It wouldnt be so much for freinds.. I would let them drive my Kodiak 450 as its so easy to drive. So maybe I should exchange it for a manual clutch and chain drive with a bit bigger engine? Any recommendations? Suzuki LTZ400? Will it be too much of a jump? or should I go to the Honda 300ex or Yamaha Raptor 350?

I'm not saying "off-it" because it's a P.O.S. , I'm just saying you get what you pay for, and it's built for the beginner and not for doing 60 foot triples that's all....If it's to be a play bike for family and buddies it's perfect! Don't let me scare you by using the word beginner either, the bike just happens to fall into that category. Drive shaft should keep you from having to adjust chain and sprockets, not to mention replacing them every so often, and it should be a good little woods bike.

Thanks. I just been reading the posts about 300ex vs Warrior. Hmmm, they both seem a good idea too. They both run about $4,600 but the z400 is up around $5,700. Think it might be an overkill? I got 16 acres of fields, and a couple of miles of woods trails and Im probably not gonna go take it to some trail park. What do you think?

any 400 is a better investment and a lot faster, funner, and overall better than the 300ex or warrior the z400 is a very easy and fun ride for any rider who is somewhat comfortable with riding quads

I have had my LTZ250 since June last year and feel that I have now outgrown it somewhat. It has become to slow on open sections but still is good enough on the trails. What I like about it is the low maintenance. I am gonna give it a couple of months still and then look at a Z400.
