Default DynaTek CDI Ride Review

My 03 motor is stock. I am 6'2" @245lbs. I have a heavy WARN 3.0ci, the trunk box full of winching stuff, a rear rack bag weighing in @ 20lbs. I have never been able to wheelie. I installed the CDI today and the power increase is noticeable. Enough for me not to return it. I punched it in low and pulled the front up maybe 3" for a few feet. Without the Dyna it tops out @ 61mph on pavement if you had enough road to wait it out. With the Dyna it ran up to 65 without the wait and I ran out of road. I feel like it may have creeped up to 67mph.
I reversed the install and tried to repeat the wheelie. No go, and back to 62mph. After running the Dyna a while and going back it felt doggy in comparison.
The wheelie attempts were on flat healthy pasture Fescue grass with "BRAND NEW" ATR 26" Tires. They really hook up. My attempts before were also on ATRs' but were the 25" units. More on the 26" tires in another post.

I have 25" after market tires. Do you think you would have gotten a better or worse wheelie with your old 25" ATR''s? I've heard the 26" take more power to turn, but hook up better, so maybe this is a hard question to answer.

Not really. I think it is all CDI.
Anyway, I'll most likley not even try again.

Mine has alot of extra weight also. Winch, kimpex bumper, rack extensions and etc. With the the Dyna it will wheelie like crazy. Without it I can yank on the handle bars and maybe get it off the ground. I still need to Fine tune a few things and then I will be even happier.
I did race a bone stock 700. No winch, no nothing. the first race he beat me on take off because I spun the wheels for 20 feet. Then I caught him and passed him. The 2nd race I was ahead from the start and kept pulling away. He didnt want anymore after that.

Did you try the new CDI in the 700? or did you keep it as your secret weapon?
