Depending on your riding style the pros and cons may differ.....trails, lots of power, but wider than some quads.....racing......it is great for this, it is built heavy and made to last, and has the power to back it up...dunes, has plenty of power, may need regreared, but great in the dunes too......I think it is great.

I like everything about my pred.. Great power, handling, smooth ride and most of all its fast!

The only thing the predator lacks is bottom end power, which can be fixed with a gearing change or just add some more HP like a pipe etc...

There were a couple of minor con burps with the 03 first year models. All have been taken care of for 04....so go buy one and just try to keep from grinning. It's all about perma-smile.

Only thing I could ask for is for a lighter weight.....Other than that I couldn't be more happy. Works great as a fast paced recreational ride. If your interested in strictly mx you will want to look more towards the new 450's. But for what I do: aggressive trail riding, drag racing, light mx. It does great. Very fun ride, and although I have been beat by the almighty Yfz it wasn't shamefully so. But I do got to give credit where its due..... If you want a "no bull" full on race machine the new 450's are the ticket.

i dont like how it makes you sit up on the gas tank but o well. and people hp does not add low end power. torque is low end power. so by adding a pipe it gives you more hp and torque and torque is the low end power. hp is high end power.

the pred is a very nice bike although it can get squirly at high speeds. 2 weeks ago my pred beat a yzf 450 by about a bike length up comp. hill at dumont but the only mods it had was a dmc alien pipe. the pred is fast and has a nice smooth ride.
