Polaris Scrambler--Anyone make fender Flares for it?
#1
Hi.
Does anyone make fender flares or extensions to fit the Polaris Scrambler?
The only negative thing I have read is that you get very muddy because the tires stick out past the fenders. I would like to solve this.
I am thinking seriously of buying a Scrambler because of all the good things I have read.
Also, is the Scrambler comfortable for a casual trail ride that lasts most of the day?
Thanks to all who answer!

Polaris sells a set of Pure Polaris mud guards for the Gen lll platform. That includes Scramblers, Sports, and Trailblazers. They ain't cheap though. Some folks have had good luck with making their own. Do some searches for mud flaps, fender flares, etc. The '04 model Scrambler has a more comfortable seat than previous years. It should make long rides more comfy. I got used to the seat on my '03 pretty quickly so don't hesitate to buy an '03 or even older model. The Scrambler is a great atv platform. The owner gets a quad that is good at everything. The one thing it excels at more than any other quad is versatility.

The newer wider seats make a big difference in all day comfort. If you want to make your own mudflaps, there's a company called simon racing who sells plastic material that can be cut to fit pretty good at a fraction of the price of store bought mudflaps. For all around trail riding you can't beat the reliability, power and fun on a scrambler!!!

Isn't getting muddy the point?
Welcome!
The Scrammy is just fine for an all day long ride....you don't sit all the time becuase you're off playing in the mud, the creek, the dirt, the sand, whatever you can find.....
They are cool because when you get to a big mud bog all the sport riders sit and watch you play....and sometimes ask to play on the Scrammy!

You could always do what i did to keep the mud off but its a bit xtreme, The new seats are a lot more comfortable. I saw 1 with the Polaris flares on it once and it looked kind of funny.
