Is Yamaha ever gonna update the Wolverine????? I heard a rumor about a new Wolvy for 05 but I haven't heard anything else since last year. It won't be long till the 05s will be out. It's way past due. They have changed alot of other models and the Wolvy has been the same since 95.

I saw one of the spy photos in a mag about a year ago. I am not sure why we have not seen it out yet.
The changes were reported to be Raptor styling, 450cc motor and manual clutch. Hopefully it will have 2/4wd selection. If they make it, I will buy it.

Don't count on it real soon, Yamaha tends to stick with a design, 3 examples:
Blaster, unchanged since 88,until 2003, then just plastic and brakes
Warrior, changed lights in 92, but basically unchanged since it came out.
Banshee, unchanged since 87, except putting a-arms in place of j-arms.
Most likely, the Bruin was an update that turned into a new model line, since people still like the Wolverine, they weren't ready to drop the one real sport/utility they had.

I'd say the wolverine will get new plastics (a la raptor), update to the rear suspension, keep the same drivetrain/engine and be renamed to the Raptor 350 4x4 ...
Just a guess

I dug up that old mag....It has been a while since I read it. But after looking at it I was disappointed because I think Yamaha has built a replacement for the Wolverine and are selling it alongside the old wolverine. The spy photo of the wolverine in the mag was recognizable to me now....its the new 660 Griz. No 450, no manual clutch....660 Griz is not the replacement for the Wolv I was looking for....
Like I said....its been a while since I read that, and my memory wasn't all that good.....sorry.

If they made a wolvey with a manual clutch, I would buy it.
