I used to use some kind of special oil in the counter balance and gearbox(I think it was belray) but anways, you need to fill the counterbalance until it runs out of the hole in the front of the motor, near the exhaust. And for the tranny, I fill it until I can stick a screwdriver in it and I have about an inch on the end of the screwdriver, plus you should have a dipstick.

Transmission- 27oz of Polaris gearcase lube or Amsoil Series 2000 Chaincase lube
Counter Balance- 100ml (about 3.4 oz) of 10W-30
Front gearcase- 80W-90 GL5 gear oil. Good to use a synthetic or marine grade
Hubs- 2.5 oz (each) (fill at 4:00 position and let excess drain) of Polaris hub fluid, or ATF Type F or even better, use Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF (works great and the bottle will last a long time)
