scrambler brake caliper help

Default scrambler brake caliper help

hi guys,i was working on my quad tonight and had the rear caliper off with the pads out,my gf came over and stepped on the foot lever for the brakes and the piston poped out of the caliper squirting fluid everwhere.can i just pop the piston back in and call it good or do i need to rebuild it?its only a few weeks old..thanks for the help..

err...darn gf...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]..if it were me, i would just cramm it back together and call it good, but i dont know what is the CORRECT thing to do about it..good luck [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Default scrambler brake caliper help

Yeah you can rebuild it, I have done that before too....I had my brake caliper off and moved the quad and hit the brake and whalla...screwed up....it is fine, just push it back in and go about fixing it. Remember to check the brake fluid though, I'm sure it is low now.
