Default Which engines fits into the yamaha blaster frame?

Hi everybody... I live in Norway, and I want to get an atv. But I would like it to be street legal.
SMC(Standard motor corporation) which makes all these kinds(barossa, stinger, kasea) are street legal here in norway. These atv's have got a yamaha blaster frame and a honda 2 cylinder 4 stroke engine (250cc). But are there any other engines that fits into the blaster frame... with alot of power.
You see... they are trying get the arctic cat dvx approved (street legal)in Austria these days. If it gets street legal there it will also be street legal here in norway, since we follow the EU rules. But it will cost alot because of the taxes and sh#%!! It will cost around 12000 US dollar here in norway with license plates.
So has anybody got a tip for the blaster frame.....?

if you beef up the frame and tighten up the suspension a whole lot it'd be awesome to have a r6 in it that kick ***.

The fastest blaster I've ever seen had an IT490 Mid 80's Yamaha dirt bike motor in it. Basically a straight bolt it with a few minor exhaust mods and engine mount tweeks.

Long travel triple rate suspension made it fly through the woops too.

Good luck on your fun project.

Yep I was thinking the YZ or IT 490 as well... trick is to get your hands on a motor that is from the 80's. It would be a blast though !!

I hope you guys plan to have or do have a longer swingarm. with the short wheelbase of the Blaster
it could get interresting keeping the front tires on the ground.

There is one engine that fits perfect in a Blaster frame.
Not too much power for the short wheelbase.
It is cheap, easy to work on, has been made for many years so it is easy to find parts for.
A 200cc two stroke Blaster engine works great in a Blaster frame.

I would suggest putting the Honda engine up for sale and buying a Blaster engine.

yea but there is no fun in that slap in a banshee or r6 do something that you think just might be impossible and make it work. I only recommend this if your like a machinist or something though.
