It appears to be identical in terms of dimensions to the very popular MrHP end cap. The Mod QuAD cap is not only $30 cheaper but looks to me to have a nicer finish and machining work done to it. Anyone out there using this endcap?

Please explain. Assuming these endcaps are of equal dimensions what performance advantage does MrHP's cap have over the Mod QuAD unit? Have you actually tried both caps?

Putting the $30 aside, even if they were priced the same the Mod QuAD unit appears to have a nicer finish.

 

I think any replacement for the stock end cap will have a positive improvement. Mr. HP was the first billet end cap I saw, and it cosmetically looked better then the home made end caps that were out there. But a big performance difference between the home made units and Mr. HP end cap, the difference is probably minimal. I think a shoot out between end cap would be point less. If there is any difference at all I would think it would be very minimal.

 

$126 is a bit steep and that site usually has the lowest prices available.

$30 is $30. thats like 10-15 gallons of Alchohol for a good weekend of duning. I am sure the difference is very minimal and who ever said the Mr. HP cap is better anyways....might go the other way.

 

there was several models floating around on the end caps before mr hp seems knutz dyno'd three types, 1 was good , 1 was slightly better than stock, and one was worse than stock. the thing that i see mr hp doing is dyno work. dyno work and high numbers aren't important, the thing that is, is change, and change in a positive direction. having followed the threads, everything eric has done has been for a positive increase.

 

it's also 3 nos bottles[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] when we meet at sand mt. we'll see which last longer[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img] i'm starting to get excited about the 10 hr drive.

 

Lance is the same guy who ported his own intake to save money, so his remarks about saving $30 bucks or go fast, dont count [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]
