this pipe has been over rated from the start, with an all around pour design.

Sorry to hear about your probs with the WB unit.I have the promeg and my buddy has the s-bend slip on on our 400ex's and they are perfectly fine.I have heard rumors that WB had a bad production run some time back but has fixed that problem. You may have one of those units.I would contact them and see what they will do to help remedy the situation.Good luck.

I have an e-series too. One of the mounting brackets broke off after just a couple months of riding. WB replaced that part of the silencer under warranty. I imagine that it will break too, since the weld isn't any better than on the original. So I will probably be buying a new pipe this summer. I think I'll get the Yoshimura titanium pipe. Before I do, I'll wait for the next issue of ATV Sport. In the latest issue they have an article explaining the dynamics of exhaust pipes, both 2 and 4 stroke. They said that they would get more specific in their next issue, with pipe test results for the 400EX.

Forget the rest, buy the best. $400 gets you a Full system from Curtis Sparks. The Header pipe is ceramic coated for heat dissipation and long lasting good looks. This is the best value in the aftermarket world.
