I'm sure that they vary the same amount when wet, there really isn't a lot of difference between the two in amount of fluids they hold.

ATV Mag did a shootout against the Raptor and Pred last year. They weighed both on scales that are used in Nascar races. The wet weight of the Raptor was 451lbs, and the Pred came in at 444lbs. Each atv was full of fluids. This was with the 03 Pred. The 04 Pred is 3 lbs lighter due to a shorter swing arm, so that would put the wet weight at 441lbs, or 10lbs lighter then the Raptor.

In all fairness, the weight difference is even more the 10lbs. I weighed the tires on the Pred. , then those that go on a Raptor, and the Predator tires weigh 13lbs more. So if you were to put the same tires on both atv's, the Pred would come in 23lbs lighter then the Raptor. So if Polaris did what all the other companies did and put on the cheap Dunlops, the Pred would have a dry weight of 399lbs, or 49lbs heavier then the YFZ instead of 62lbs.

uhm, you did see the post where the Raptor is actually *heavier* than the Predator? This is very common, especially with the Japanese manufacturers... they weigh without any fluid, take the battery off, etc. etc. My motorcycle is supposed to be 370lbs.. ha... yeah right. 444lbs with fluids!
