i'm looking for a tire that my quad can handle and is long lasting. i do about 50% trail and 50% mud sizes will be either 25-10-12 in the back 25-8-12 in the front or 26-10-12 in the back and 26-8-12 in the front

I'd roll some ITP 589s if I were you. Half mud/trails is about what I do and I plan on getting a set of 26s this summer. I'm not sure if the 589 comes in the size you're looking at, but definitely consider those tires.

I have the mudlites on mine in stock size. Main reason I didnt go with the 589s was the weight. The 589 weigh almost twice at much as the mud lites. I do about the size type riding as you and I love mine. You can get them for about $200 a set.

I'm going to be in the market for new tires and I have it narrowed down to Bear Claw or Mudlites (leaning more towards mudlites). The mudlites are a very good all purpose tire. They are lite and don't seem to make the ride rougher than stock tires. I plan to keep stock sizes on because where I ride larger tires are not needed. Well that's my 2 cents so hope it helps some.

The lites are a tad lighter than the 589s, but NOWHERE near 1/2 as light. Don't believe everything people say on here. Ask around and you'll see that you will save a few lbs. w/ the lites, but you sacrifice a better mud tire in the process.
