They are both great quads.I took on a brand new stock (except for paddles) Honda 450r in a bunch of drags.I would usualy edge him out by a couple feet.If he had pipe and rejet he would beat me but not by alot. Also a kid that was there jumped on his 450r and did a couple of drags,he must have weighed 75 pounds and smoked everybody.
My example in speed comparison...

Now as in overall they are both great quads Honda is reliable as hell and so far the KFX is proving itself just as reliable thus far.
They are both excelent in the woods too.I choose KFX cause I'm lazy and like reverse and electric start.

All up to you get a few hours in on both quads if you can, then you will be able to see witch one fits you better.
I favor the YFZ450 over the honda450r.Thats just me though.

If all you have done to your motor is add a pipe then the person you dragged sucked as a rider. The 450s in stock form will run with modded banshees. Also I know that the 450 will out do a ltz/kfx/dvx because i have done it against very skilled riders. Both the quads are good and have their own followers but to say you beat a 450 is ludicris.

I have both (Z400). Both are great machines! The 400 is the better "all-around" machine, and is going to better suit more peoples needs. I pick the 400 for trail ridiing, and the 450 for more open country.

I would put my money on the 450r if these are the only two quads you are looking at....honda has a good name and has had good products thus far.....it is a great quad......If you are considering other sport quads, I would seriously consider the Predator too.....it isn't quite as expensive, and you get a lot more from it in stock form......but the choice is up to you....

You bust on him for saying he can beat a 450r w/just his mods and then turn around and say a 450r will hang with a modded Banshee? You really are a speedbump aren't you..........
